Specimen Type/Requirements

Perform venipuncture according to standard operating procedure. Fill a 1.2 mL Streck ESR-Vacuum tube to the fill line indicated on the tube ± 5 mm. Immediately mix 8-10 times making sure the air bubble in the tube reaches the opposite end between each inversion.

Blood can also be transferred from a Purple (EDTA) Tube into a Streck ESR-Vacuum tube if done within 2 hours of collection and run immediately.

1.2 mL whole blood ± 5 mm in Streck ESR-Vacuum Tube
