Specimen Type/Requirements

Perform venipuncture according to standard operating procedure. Draw blood directly into a 3.0 K2 or K3 EDTA lavender tube.  BD Microtainer MAP (false bottom) tubes are also acceptable.  Specimen must be well mixed at the time of draw to eliminate clotting and small clumps. (Do not mix vigorously).
