This test is available for immunocompromised patients and patients who have a travel history that may warrant testing for other organisms.
This test was performed by the Genetic Signatures EasyScreen Gastrointestinal Parasite Detection kit, which utilizes multiplex PCR for target detection. Clinical testing for this panel is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Positive and negative results require clinical correlation with patient presentation and epidemiological information. This result does not rule out the presence of other potential pathogens.
