Urine - First Catch

REJECTION Criteria:

  • Urine received in testing lab not in Cobas media

Note: Testing cannot be added to a clean catch/midstream, non-first void urine sample.

 

 

 Endocervical/Cervical/Vaginal Swab

  • Cobas Collection Instructions PCR Urine and Swab Collection Kits
  • Vaginal specimens REQUIRE the WOVEN swab. 
  • Endocervical specimens REQUIRE the FLOCKED swab. 
  • Vaginal specimens may be collected in a healthcare setting by the patient using the Cobas® PCR Media Uni Swab Sample Kit
  • Reference collection instuctions above for more details.

REJECTION Criteria:

  • Both swabs in media
  • No swab in media
  • Incorrect swab in media
