Test ID LBAN0004 Creatinine Clearance, 24 HR Urine

Specimen Type/Requirements

Requires both blood and urine.

Blood: Draw one Green (Lithium-Heparin) Tube or Gold (SST Serum) Tube. Timeframe for collecting blood is 24 hours before the start of urine collection to 24 hours after the end of urine collection.

Urine: Need height and weight of patient.

 

24hr collection: Refrigerate during collection, no preservative, record total volume, mix well before aliquoting. If more than one urine container is collected, use proportional quantities from each well mixed container for the aliquot.

Preferred Volume 500 µL serum/plasma and 5.0 mL urine
Minimum Volume 100 µL serum/plasma and 100 µL urine
