Specimen can only be drawn at Broadway (Desk22), SMCF and Fargo Client locations due to specimen stability.

MUST USE A 21 GUAGE NEEDLE OR LARGER
KITS INCLUDE (1) RED TOP WASTE TUBE & (2) GREINER SODIUM CITRATE TUBES (BLUE TOP)
BLUE TOP TUBES MUST BE FILLED TO THE FILL LINE MARK
DO NOT OVER OR UNDER FILL BLUE TOP TUBES
LINEDRAW:
Request specimen draw kit from laboratory.
Clear the line before filling the Greiner tubes by drawing and discarding 5 mL of blood. Transfer 2 mL of blood into each Greiner tube using a blood transfer device.
VENIPUNCTURE:
Collect the red top waste tube 1st (2 ml minimum), then fill both blue top tubes.
Gently invert the tubes at least 5 times.
Manually transport to the laboratory immediately. Tubes must not be sent using the pneumatic tube system.
Test must be run within 4 hours of collection.
