Specimen Type/Requirements
Blue-Top (Sodium Citrate) Tube. Tubes must be filled to the minimum draw line.
Separate sample into 3 separate aliquots with 1.0 mL of platelet-poor plasma in each aliquot.
Pediatric minimum volume is 2 mL of citrated platelet-poor plasma
Separate into 2 separate aliquots with 1 mL of platelet-poor plasma in each aliquot.
